All APIs

New feature:

· The default resource version has been shifted to ‘new’. To access the previous format responses submit ‘prev’ using the query string parameter ‘ver’ or the HTTP header ‘X-ELS-ResourceVersion’. The list of APIs affected by this change is outlined in the Guidance section of the documentation.

· When returning JSON, the HTTP header field ‘Warning’ will be populated with a message if the returned JSON is not well-formed. This can occur for various abstract documents, since the native XML mark-up may not support a proper translation into JSON format.

All Search APIs

Bug fixes:

· Responses returning ‘application/atom+xml’ incorrectly return ‘text/xml’ as the response Content-Type.

Author Search API

Bug fixes:

· Search results containing any entries with NO subject-areas may result in a complete failed response (i.e. HTTP 500).

New APIs provide access to content available from www.embase.com.

Article Retrieval API

Clarification:

· Open Access content will always be returned, regardless of the validity of the authorization credentials (i.e. APIKey or CrossRef Token).
